So the Yankees beat the Red Sox today (big surprise), 9 - 5. I want to see the Yankees in the series this year and I want to see the Yankees win it.The first World Series I remember is the infamous 1977 series with the Yankees playing their old crosstown rivals, the Los Angeles Dodgers. The Yankees took the series in 6 games and it was in that 6th game where Reggie Jackson hit 3 home runs, earning him the nickname "Mr. October."
