It was torn down in 1964 and replaced with a parking lot (how imaginative), but as you can see, the El Capitan Theatre on Mission Street was pretty grand for a neighborhood theatre. Built in 1928, "The Cap," as it was know in the 'hood, was apart of the 20th Century-Fox movie chain.
The hotel that was built as part of the structure, which is quite run-down, still survives today.
