The Washington State Senate approved the marriage equality bill last night, 28-21. Mr. Hatfield, a Christian, did vote "YES" on the measure. However, even though he voted in favor of the bill, Mr. Hatfield also favors putting the issue on the ballot, saying:
"I believe that ultimately this question should be decided by the voters of Washington.”
My, what a nice, strong backbone you've got there, Mr. Hatfield.
