THE WALKING DEAD

Just weeks after Apple announces the end of its signature iPod MP3 music player, former electronics giant Sony dusts off a classic, the mother of all 80's icons, The Walkman.

The Sony Walkman NW-ZX2 comes with 128GB of storage, a touch screen, a microSD slot and . . .

(drum roll, please)

. . . a $1,200 price tag.

$1,200, WTF?

Having owned several versions of Walkman/Discman products over the years, I can honestly say I was so excited when I first read about this. That is, of course, until I saw the ridiculous price tag that's been attached.

(sigh)

Nice try, Sony, but I just don't see it happening.

LOVE IS A BATTLEFIELD

My first Sony Walkman was purchased in 1983, along with two Pat Benatar cassettes, Get Nervous and Pat Benatar: Live From Earth.

I purchased Get Nervous, because it's a damn good album and Pat Benatar: Live From Earth because, well, because of this song.

For real.

Yeah, the video is pretty campy but still . . .

Oh, you're welcome.
