I DO

"Although the House Report is filled with encomia to heterosexual marriage, DOMA does not increase benefits to opposite-sex couples--whose marriages may in any event be childless, unstable or both--or explain how denying benefits to same-sex couples will reinforce heterosexual marriage."

-- The 1st U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals in Boston, which today ruled DOMA (Defense of Marriage Act) as unconstitutional.

Sounds good to me.

TRUMP CARD

see just how big Donald Trump's balls are
“I wonder if @BarackObama ever applied to Occidental, Columbia or Harvard as a foreign student. When can we see his applications? What do they say about his place of birth.”

-- Douchey windbag and reality television host Donald Trump

What's that sound? Oh, it's Donald Trump beating a dead horse.

PICTURE THIS

Yesterday's urban hike from my place to Fort Point, according to Google Maps, measured in at 10.4 miles round trip.

Whew!

Anyway, here are a few shots I took during what turned out to be a pretty awesome afternoon stroll through The City.

We've got the ocean, got the babes
Got the sun, we've got the waves
This is the only place for me

-- Best Coast, The Only Place

Here are a few of the shots I captured as Kim and I made our way up Highway 1 this past Saturday. We found ourselves absolutely awestruck at the natural beauty on the left and right side of the road, and pulled over several times so we could appreciate that beauty at a slower pace.

Here are a few shots I took on yesterday's urban hike to Coit Tower, which clocked in at 6.5 miles, door to door.

FRESCOS

I've been to Coit Tower a few times, but never inside.

Yesterday, I made the big leap, paid my $7, and spent about 30 minutes or so taking in the Depression-era frescos and view from high atop the San Francisco landmark.

UNDER THE SEA

It's hard for me to believe that yesterday's trip to the Monterey Bay Aquarium with fellow choir nerd and Facebook friend Kim, was my first visit, but it was.

DAYTRIPPER

Apologies to Junna, as I totally stole this picture from her fine blog, but it's the perfect photo choice for today's post.

Look out, Monterey. Kim and Scott are in the car right now, and they're coming down to eat the shit out of your town!

THE FORCE

Okay, I'll admit that it hurt just a little bit when I read earlier this afternoon that Star Wars was released 35 years ago today.

TARDY TO THE PARTY: BIG BANG THEORY

I don't watch prime-time network television, so I didn't catch this little gem until it went into syndication a few months ago.

It was almost my loss, because this show is so damn funny. Seriously, I'm talking laugh out loud funny.

SOLE DESIRE

Pretty please?
