So I spent most of last night listening to the new Best Coast release The Only Place, which dropped earlier yesterday, and the verdict is in:
I am guilty. Guilty of love in the First Degree.
They managed to maintain the 60's girl group vibe and dreamy yet cynical tone that made me fall in love with this group the first time I heard them during a drunken evening in a West Oakland loft apartment, without sounding stale.
I can't hardly wait for their show at the Oakland Fox Theater this Saturday evening!
