Alex Karras played Mongo in one of the best westerns ever made, Blazing Saddles. He also played the sheriff in one of the funniest teen sex comedies ever made, Porky's, and went on to portray the gay bodyguard in one of the best comedy musicals ever made, Victor/Victoria.
Alex also played some damn good football for the Detroit Lions.
So long, Alex. You did good.
