I've always liked Half Moon Bay, and always wanted to live there or nearby (Moss Beach, etc). And RE HMB specifically, for 20+ years I've had this fantasy of being rich and developing fancy schmancy restaurants and jazz clubs and coffeehouses and whatnot. It's the perfect location between SF and SJ and prime for a quick day getaway from either place. Ah, but I was never rich or had the knowhow. And I do see that some such places have sprung up.
funny, all I had ever seen of HMB was from driving along HWY 1, which isn't much. I had no idea there was this small downtown area about half a mile up. It's a nice little town.
It's a $6 sandwich that's worth $12 and if you ever find yourself in Half Moon Bay, you MUST swing by the Garden Deli Cafe and get one!
