So, Sarah Palin officially left her job as governor of the State of Alaska on July 26 with just under a year and a half still left on her FIRST term. She was out of office for about a week (as July 26th was only last Sunday) when she spoke about gun rights at an NRA banquet August 1st. Anyway, I came across this story on MSNBC and was absolutely tickled with the final paragraph:
"Internet fans have been eagerly awaiting an update from Palin, who has been laying low since she resigned with 16 months left in her first term."
I'm not sure if one week counts as laying low (or who these 'internet fans' are), but I was still amused by the story.
