TRIBUTE

It was one of the few times the Academy got it right, when it bestowed the award for Best Actor to Ernest Borgnine, for his heartbreaking performance in Marty (1955). This film strikes a nerve, and moves me like few others do.

If it isn't on your Netflix queue, it should be. Oh, and while you're at it, you would be well advised to add From Here To Eternity, The Dirty Dozen, and (yes) The Poseidon Adventure. He's great in all three films.

So long, Ernest, you did good.
