BlackBerry was in the news a few times this week, so here's the recap -I was pretty excited to see that the new BlackBerry Torch 9800 Slider is due to to be released soon. That excitement was quickly dashed, however, when I read that the smart phone will be an AT&T exclusive product.
WHY?
To avoid an outright government ban in Saudi Arabia, BlackBerry has agreed to install a domestic server in the middle eastern country, so usage can be monitored and pornography blocked.
Scary.
And finally today, a survey recently released shows New Yorkers perfer the BlackBerry over the (Cr)Apple i(drop calls)Phone, 4 to 1, while Californians show blind love for the i(drop calls)Phone, with near identical results.
So reminicent of the fabled Eastcoast - Westcoast rap wars of the 1990's, dontcha think?
