Once again, that dumb-as-a-bag-of-shit Sarah Palin is fanning the flames of fear and hatred.
It is a private real estate deal that is done, yet she continues to lead the charge in a battle that is both stupid and offensive. Palin (along with a few others), just can't seem to let go of the fact that the building of a mosque has been approved and will be built two blocks from Ground Zero. I mean, face it, honey. It's gonna happen, whether you like it or not.
What I find especially offensive is the use of the phrase Ground Zero Mosque.
This mosque is not being built ON Ground Zero. Once again people, it is going to be erected two blocks away. Are we going to attach those two words to every building within the general area of the old World Trade Center site? If so, then shouldn't we be calling the Burger King across the street from Ground Zero the Ground Zero Burger King? How about the Ground Zero Millennium Hotel, or Brooks Brothers at Ground Zero? I mean, why not, they're all located across the street as well? Maybe the phrase Ground Zero can be trademarked and a little money can be made. Not a bad idea, considering that the Republicans have used the phrase and day, for that matter, as a tool to raise money (and fear) for their political causes and candidates.
I just find it so offensive and morally reprehensible that Ms. Palin and her ilk continue to exploit the attacks of September 11th to push their political agenda. This is a local issue (to New York City), and should not be presented as a serious national debate.
But then I'm just saying, is all.
