San Francisco Chronicle architecture critic John King presents a compelling argument in his column on the positive aspects of the "Manhattanization of San Francisco." It's a subject I've ranted about once or twice in my day.
Once the largest city on the west coast (and an exciting and cosmopolitan one at that), San Francisco is now a weak and sad shell of what it once was.
Check it out and see if you agree, because I do.
