State Senator Roy Ashburn (R) officially came out of the closet yesterday following his arrest for DUI after leaving a gay bar in Sacramento. He has voted against gay rights bills 100% of the time.
Many on both sides are calling for his resignation but I'm taking a sit back and wait approach. Having had this HUGE monkey taken off his back (forcibly, but by his own doing), it's going to be interesting how he votes now with everyone watching.
