For you Republicans out there: Vote for Steve Poizner (Republican candidate for Governor): Meg Whitman has not only not voted, but spent $86 million dollars for the primary (of which $76 came from her own wallet). There is nothing that gets my gall more than someone who thinks they can buy their way into public office, Democrat OR Republican. Besides, Mr. Poizner is a reasonably liberal Republican and I don't have an issue with that.

Vote for Tom Campbell (Republican candidate for U.S. Senate): He is running against former Hewlett-Packard CEO Carly Fiorina for the Republican nomination in the battle for Democrat Barbara Boxer's seat in November. For the same reasons as Meg Whitman, I am against Carly because she not only has NOT voted in the past, but she's trying to buy her way into public office with this "vanity campaign." Also, she was a terrible CEO of Hewlett-Packard.

Also, just for the record, The Steamingpoop blog wholehearted supports Jerry Brown (D) for Governor and will happily vote for him in the general election this coming November.
