THIS USED TO BE MY PLAYGROUND

Montecelli's, which was across the street from Petaluma High School. The building was eventually
condemned and torn down in the early 70's. The lot remains empty today.

The migration to East Petaluma begins, 1957. Kenilworth Jr. High hasn't been built yet
and the new Highway 101 bypass around town is still under construction

The State Theatre is now The Mystic (a concert venue).

Western Avenue. Crocker-Citizens Bank is now Wells Fargo.

Petaluma Supermarket on Main Street (as it was still called back then), opening day, 1948 (?).

Main Street (as it was still called then) at Washington Street, 1958

I came across some pictures of Petaluma, my hometown. Very little has changed over the years.

Kind of nice, actually.
