I watched the press conference this morning, where disgraced congressman Anthony Weiner finally announced his resignation. It was a pretty ugly few minutes, with him being shouted-down by, from what I understand, a minion of the Howard Stern Show.
It would be so easy to lament how dirty politics have gotten over the last 30 or 40 years, but really, that's what it's almost always been about.
What would you expect from a town built upon a paved-over swamp. As Lisa Simpson once said on a classic episode of The Simpsons, "It stank then, and it stinks now."
Anyway, the heads-up I received on the above commercial from Facebook friend and fellow Liberty 4 member Ken J. couldn't have come at a more perfect time. Congrats to him for becoming the first non-follower winner in Steaming Poop history to win the rarely given, but much-coveted Pooper Scooper award. Maybe this will inspire him to click the follower button over on your left hand side of the screen.
The clip above is an honest to goodness election commercial against Janet Hahn of Los Angeles, who is running for Congress down in Torrance, Ca. I laughed when I first watched it, but only because it's so ridiculously over the top.
